film:

The film tells the story of two Holocaust survivors: The story of Alexander Bergmann, a lawyer in Riga/Latvia, and Steven Springfield, a retired businessman who now lives in New York/Long Island. They are both connected by their memory of the Riga ghetto. They met there in 1941, as they were forced to work in the same work detail. Their ways parted after being liberated, as Steven Springfield emigrated to the USA and Alexander Bergmann returned to Riga.
